WAYNESBORO SYMPHONY
Musicians of the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra hail from Waynesboro, Staunton and Fishersville, the surrounding communities of Charlottesville and Harrisonburg, and as far away as Lynchburg, Richmond, Roanoke, and Washington, D.C. Our membership includes professors and students from area schools, colleges and universities, highly talented community members with daytime professions in other fields, and professional musicians who enjoy the opportunity to play a diverse and challenging repertoire of symphony and chamber music. Weekly rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings during the concert season, which runs from September to May, and a dress rehearsal takes place on the Thursday evening prior to each performance.

Membership in the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra is open to amateur, professional and advanced student musicians by referral and/or audition at the discretion of the Music Director. The orchestra generally rehearses from 7:00 to 9:30 on Tuesdays in Waynesboro. If you are interested in joining the orchestra please contact us here.
