Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Stanley Beckwith joined the Waynesboro Symphony as principal violist in 2019. He has worked with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles over the past decade, including the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, the New Orchestra of Washington, the McLean Symphony, the Loudoun Symphony, the Oratorio Society of Virginia, and the Manassas Ballet Theatre Orchestra. Prior to joining the WSO, Stanley was the principal violist of the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra in Warrenton, VA.

Stanley is the violist of the Triforce Quartet, a string quartet that performs video game music for live audiences both nationally and internationally, and has released several studio albums with the group. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Stanley has studied with teachers George Taylor and Helen Fall.

As a teacher, Stanley began as the acting orchestra director of the Charlottesville Waldorf School in the spring of 2022 and maintains a private studio of violists and violinists in Charlottesville.
